Special Occasion Dresses for Little Girls

The most wonderful time of the year is coming and I'm actually pretty excited. Christmas is a time for giving, sharing and of course shopping! I have purchased almost half on my Christmas shopping list and I'm still looking for my own dress as well.

Kids are the most excited during Christmas and I have to say that they are already awaiting to know what will be their gifts. Aside from letting them know that they will receive gifts Christmas, we should never forget to let them know that it is the birth of Jesus Christ and what truly is the meaning of this season. All over the world, we celebrate Christmas and we all have different Christmas traditions to follow. We often go to mass on Christmas Eve and share all the food served on the table and later on is Christmas exchange of gifts.

Christmas Day is spent going to relatives to give gifts and mostly kids will get their presents (money or gift form). Kids are clad in their best outfits, girls are mostly wearing dresses whiles boys have their polo shirts or t-shirts with cartoon characters. Dress up your kids comfortably so they can move and play freely.

Here are some cute dresses for girls that I found online.
Youngland Animal Dress & Cardigan Set - Toddler - Sale at $26.40 available at www.kohls.com

Hello Kitty Girls Dress, Little Girls Shrug Tutu Dress available at macys.com

Tiered ruffle dress - GAP.com $60.00 - a little bit pricey though

Unique and Alternative Prom Dresses

If you’re finishing school or sixth form, or attending a formal event at university, then you’ll no doubt want a prom dress that really looks the part. Your classmates might go to their local designer store for an off-the-shelf ball gown, but what if you’re looking for something a bit different? Something that’s really ‘you’? Something that nobody else is likely to have?

Do you have to make a prom dress on your own, or could you choose something completely different and go against the grain? Here are a few ways to avoid looking like everyone else, whilst still looking your best on prom night:

Mix and Match Your Patterns

A lot of prom dresses are surprisingly plain and simple, and are mono-colour without detailed designs. Buy a patterned prom dress or party dress and you’re sure to stand out. You can either buy a prom dress with a single repeated pattern, or one that mixes a variety of different patterns and designs like the prom dresses and party dresses from Ginger Fizz.

Choose a Shorter Length Dress

Full-length prom dresses have their place, but if you want an alternative prom dress then they’re probably not your style. Knee-length and thigh-length dresses provide you with a lot more options, and a chance to show off your shoes. Want to turn up in a prom dress and a pair of Converse shoes? Nobody’s stopping you! Shorter prom dresses come in a wide range of styles, which means that you’ll have no trouble finding something that flatters your figure.

Go Vintage

Vintage dresses are ideal for parties and proms. If you’re creative enough and brave enough to wear a dress in a style more than three decades old, then you’ll find that you’re flattered by laces, bows and ribbons that add a ‘classic’ look.

Wear Something Dark

Proms aren’t all about pretty pastel colours and sparkling jewels. In fact, there’s nothing wrong with showing up in something darker. How about a gorgeous designer dresses from Worn By, with prints and patterns for that rock star look?

Or Don’t Wear a Dress?

As much as people talk about find their perfect prom dress or party dress, they’re not the only option. In fact, more and more people are finding the confidence to ditch the dress and attend wearing a suit, or something a little more casual. Vila blazers are perfect accompaniments to a skirt or pair of trousers, and with the right accessories you can make any outfit look prom-ready.

Your prom night might be one of the most glamorous nights of your life, but to make an impression you’ll want to stand out from the crowd. Instead of visiting high street stores packed full with every other student fighting over the same dress at the same high price, why not find a party style of your own?

When you look back at your prom photograph, do you really want to blend with everyone else? Make sure that your outfit is one that you’ll love on the night, and you might even find that it becomes a wardrobe staple for other important events.

How to Find the Perfect Homecoming Dresses

A school homecoming event is definitely an occasion that is not to be missed. Aside from having the chance to mingle with your friends and classmates to have fun it’s also a time for you to dress up and feel fabulous. Wearing a formal dress with a nice make up and a pretty smile on your face will surely make the night more memorable for you.

However, finding that perfect homecoming dress can be daunting for some girls because no one wants to end up wearing something tacky and the worst to see a girl wearing similar dress as theirs.

Ask a  friend or someone for suggestions and constructive criticisms. There are various places where you can scour for your dress. Don’t limit yourself to only one store as you can find heaps of styles that you might like at various stores, boutique, couturier, designer stores and even online. You can start by checking out DressFirst online for they have wide range of homecoming dresses that will suit your taste and budget.

You can opt for a bustier type, empire cut, one shoulder, a-line cut, halter, cowl neck style dresses just to name a few. There are various homecoming dresses that you can consider to pick depending on the style, fabric,  embellishments and sleeves. Colors are also important factor in choosing your dress, so be sure what you want. Why Women Need to Wear a Dress

Lately, I found myself wanting to wear dresses. Actually, I was going through some stores in our place in search of dresses that I can wear during Sunday mass and some for quick errands or something. I’m not looking for strict formal dresses for I only want something that I can wear anywhere or when I feel like to.

I had some ideas in my head on what dress that I want and it looks like the flowy and those skater or vintage style dresses will perfectly fit my physique. I also wanted to try those maxi dresses and eventhough some fashion experts say that short or petite women can look smaller in maxi dresses. It was not something that will discourage me for I have seen petite women like Eva Longoria and Vanessa Hudgens wear maxi dresses and they look stunning. I guess wearing wedge sandals or something that will make us look taller will do the trick.

These days, new styles on dresses are coming up to give lots of choices for women. Wearing a dress can make a woman feel “girly” as it can enhance women’s femininity. You can never go wrong with dress for you can wear them casually at home, while shopping, at the beach etc. or formal where you can look elegant and sophisticated. We just need to find the perfect style of dress or gown to suit every occasion we are going to. You don't also need go with the trends all the time for you can buy classic pieces that you can wear all the time.

Shopping online also makes me excited. The wide selection of women's dresses that will fit different kinds of occasion will truly make every woman want to wear dresses.

Here are my faves:

Fashionable High-Low Dresses

Recently, I've rekindled my love for dresses that I bought some casual dresses this summer. Loving how comfy it feels on my body and I guess I am resigned wearing my too tight skinny jeans for a while so I can let out my feminine side once again.

I've been wanting to buy high-low dresses but when I was at the mall the other weekend and tried a few but  it seems it doesn't suit me. I guess I have picked the wrong style for my body and my age. Will try to find something else next time.

Here are my faves.

Women: Dress for Success

The world of business was dominated by men, but women have become a force to be reckoned with over the last forty years. A woman has to dress for that success, ans promo coupons can help do that without devastating her wallet at the same time. There are many successful business women whose style and grace can be emulated to help you get a little higher up the ladder in your chosen career.

The way a woman dresses says a lot about her self esteem and confidence in her ability to do the job she has been hired to do. A coupon code can help buy that perfect briefcase to accent her position and attire.  We all know that women love to shop, and shopping for those perfect business outfits can be a little daunting the first time. It never hurts to ask for help from a friend who has a similar business style to what you need. Getting feed back from the friend who always dresses "flirty" is probably not the best idea.

Make sure to check the dress code very carefully before you purchase an expensive blouse that may not be acceptable, for your job. There are many companies these days that have "casual fridays" or just a more relaxed atmosphere. This does not mean you can wear your most comfortable pair of "holy" jeans and flip flops. That is a definite mistake to avoid. Even on casual Friday's, you should be dressed neatly. Khaki's or Capri's are always a good bet and can still be worn with either runner's, sandals or heels. We women are versatile, if nothing else.

Piercings are a great way to express your individuality, but they can hinder you from being hired or for advancement within a company. It is always best to wear the least amount of jewelry possible, and it should always be relatively small. Makeup, should always be worn with the less is best motto. A natural look gives a more honest impression. You shouldn't go to work looking like a circus clown (unless you ARE a circus clown, of course).

Always keep an extra pair of panty hose with you in case of runs. You never know when you will get called into that important meeting and you want look your best, rather then worried that someone will notice the run. Neutral colors for your hose are better then loud, flashy or sexy hose.  You don't want people to get the wrong impression.

Well-fitting clothing is very important. They should not be too tight to be called sexy or ill-fitting, and not so relaxed that you look like a slob. Above all they should be comfortable, because you will be in them for eight to ten hours a day and comfort is important. If you are not comfortable in your clothing, you cannot concentrate and do your best work. You will only to leave for the day and not come back.

Keep a smile on your face when you are at work, because it is part of your attire. Smiling people tend to stay in a better mood throughout the day and it helps keep your co-workers in a good mood as well. A good mood will help make that day fly by much faster and you will enjoy your job a lot more as well.

Hot White Dresses for Summer

Ahhh... it’s summer already here in our part of the world and it’s been scorching hot and humid for the past few days. It looks like the hot temperature  is not a hindrance for many to enjoy vacation and to go to the beach. In fact, a lot of my friends have been making reservations on their favorite summer get-away to bond with their family or friends.

I reckon summer is not complete if you’ll not head to the beach. You don’t necessarily need to deep in the water for you can just stroll around breathing the fresh air and embracing the nature. Summer is also the time for women to show off their bodies and it's not surprising anymore if some will look for the best diet pills for women to get themselves ready to show some skin. I don’t advice crash diet or starving yourself to death just to wear these hot white dresses from Victoria’s Secret. Just wear anything  that you are comfortable in and just let those skinny women wear these.

These dresses are priced from $70 and up. Go grab them at victoriassecret.com.

I’ve always wanted to wear sexy and flirtatious dress and this crochet dress from Victoria’s Secret caught my attention whilst browsing their site. I haven’t tried wearing any clothes that are crocheted but this looks really nice. The price is quite affordable at $79 and also comes in black color.

I'm not sure if this can fit any woman that is on a “big” side but I’m positive that upon seeing the model and the dress, you may also dream of  wearing this one day. Do check out the best diet pills in town if you are in the plump side.

Beautiful Wedding Dress of Princess Catherine

Everyone were excited to get the glimpse of the much awaited wedding gown of Kate Middleton now Duchess of Cambridge Princess Catherine. It was so magical when she stepped out of the vehicle wearing her wedding gown. At first, I thought it was so extravagant but it turned out to be regal, sophisticated and classic gown. It was made by Sarah Burton from the house of Alexander MC Queen.

While watching the Royal Wedding on TV, I could not help but to be in awe because she looks stunning, radiant and so poised. I just love everything about the wedding. Eventhough it was such a big event where there are tons of people that witnessed it, still it was solemn ceremony.
